Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at Info@allaboutafarm.com or (707) 674-1513 if you cannot find an answer to your question.

A typical party or event will consist of 3 chickens, 2 bunnies, 2 goats, and 2 ducks. Sometimes an extra bunny, chicken, and/or duck will be brought for large events or for training purposes. This is done at the attendant's discretion and cannot be guaranteed. We also provide hand sanitizer and will of course clean up after the animals!

We ask for an area at least 8ft x 8ft for private parties, or an area 10ft x 10ft for schools and larger events. The ground can be any terrain, but should be flat to allow our fencing to stand. We prefer a shaded or covered area, but can always bring a canopy for shade or protection from rain. In addition to a setup area, we also require a water source such as a spigot, hose, or faucet where we can get water forthe animals.

Here at All About a Farm, we pride ourselves on having incredibly calm, friendly, healthy, and safe animals. They are this way because they are not motivated by food or fear because we do not allow guests to feed treats, pick up, hold, or harass the animals. We promise that they still do love being pet and brushed, and some will jump on your lap or curl up next to you, but we prefer to keep your hands safe and away from teeth and claws.

We love babies! Who doesn't? But we also love all of our animals, and because we do not breed and want to give our animals a forever home, we cannot ever guarantee baby animals. We have also found that it is safer and more fun for everyone involved to have trained, calm, more predictable, adult animals at parties and events. We also want to note: on the occasion that we do have baby animals, we take extra precaustions to keep them safe and happy including keeping them at home if it will be cold or windy, and reserving them for smaller events where we can closely monitor how they are handled and watch if they start to get overwhelmed.

While all of the attendants love horses and Morgan and Mari are both avid riders, we do NOT offer ponies. We highly recommend Pocketsize Ponies for all of your pony or unicorn needs!

As of right now, we are a mobile-only petting zoo. Parts of the farm and the animals' homes can be seen on our social media pages, but for now we like to make sure the animals (and attendants and their landlords) have their privacy when they are not working, and therefore we do not share our private farm location.

The short answer is: yes! Not all of the animals are rescued, but most are. All of our bunnies, some of our chickens, and a half of our goats came from homes where they couldn't stay for a number of reasons. We continue to accept certain animals based on how much space we have and how much care we can provide. If an animal is not a good fit in the petting zoo, we will adopt them out to the best possible home. If you have an animal you would like to surrender, please feel free to reach out.
